FREE Inclusion Confidence Training

Together! 2012 CIC is offering FREE Inclusion Confidence Training to Newham-based community organisations and volunteers with funding from Awards for All and still has places available.

This training supports Newham's voluntary sector by offering training to staff and volunteers in Developing Disability and Diversity Equality, including the basics of the Equality Act 2010; creating Barrier-Free Services; understanding Reasonable Adjustments; and Disability & Society.

The remaining courses take place as follows:

18 May 2018 11am-4pm Ascension Church Centre, Baxter Rd, Custom House, London E16 3HJ.

11 June 2018 11am-3.30pm Durning Hall, Earlham Grove, E7 9AB.

18 June 2018 11am-4pm The Froud Centre, 1 Toronto Ave, E12 5JF.

25 June 2018 11am-3.30pm Durning Hall, Earlham Grove, E7 9AB.

Arrive from 10:30am. Refreshments will be available upon arrival and in the afternoon break - please bring your own lunch.

All venues have step-free access, amplification and an induction loop. Blue Badge parking is available at Durning Hall and Ascension Church; street parking only at The Froud Centre.


Our free Club-based creative arts programme for disabled people and their companions continues this month at Vicarage Lane Community Centre in Stratford (outline programme and venue details below, full details on our website Clubs are facilitated by mid-career disabled artists, working alongside emerging and community artists; everyone is welcome. Monday 14 May 2018 and continuing on the 2nd Monday of each month: 11am-1pm: Photographers & Filmmakers Club. The Club (pictured above) is currently working on a tactile film project with Canadian partners, Vibrations. Arrive from 10.30am.

Tuesdays 10am-12pm: Art Club. Applied Arts & Crafts. Materials provided.

Wednesdays 10.30am-12pm: Pop-Up Poetry Club. Read, write, perform and publish poetry together. Thursdays 11am-1pm: Youth Together! Creative activities for young people up to the age of 25. Arrive from 10.30am.

Fridays 10am-12pm: Art Club. Drawing & Painting. Materials provided or bring your own. We are Newham-based, but welcome participants from outside the borough. Participants and volunteers under the age of 26 can earn a nationally recognised Arts Award qualification through taking part. There is no need to book, but please contact us as below first if you would like to bring a group of 5+ people. All of our activities are FREE, but we have no funding for running costs so welcome donations and sponsorship - see our contact details below. Together! 2012 CIC is a social enterprise led by locally based disabled artists which is working to make East London into an international centre of excellence for Disability Arts as part of the Paralympic Legacy. We provide a free year-round programme of arts activities for disabled people and their companions, and free disabled-led exhibitions, performances and events for everyone. We welcome new participants and volunteers.
